Sembilan Truk Terjebak Banjir Lahar Sungai Bebeng
Bebeng yang terletak di lereng merapi merupakan tempat yang terkenal akan sumber material pasir. Tiap hari banyak antrian truk yang mengambil pasir untuk kemudian didistribusikan ke daerah-daerah. Akan tetapi ada kejadian yang sungguh sangat merugikan bagi para panambang pasir tersebut, pasalnya sembilan truk pengangkut pasir terjebak banjir lahar di Sungai Bebeng, Desa Kaliurang, Srumbung, Kabupaten Magelang, Jawa Tengah, Kamis (27/10). Tidak ada korban jiwa dalam kejadian tersebut karena para penambang maupun kru truk berhasil menyelamatkan diri, sedangkan truk tertimbun material banjir lahar.Anggota Banser Tanggap Bencana (Bagana) Kecamatan Srumbung Ahmad Muslim mengatakan bahwa hujan deras mengguyur wilayah lereng Gunung Merapi sejak pukul 09.30 WIB, kemudian sekitar 11.30 WIB terdengar suara gemuruh. Bersamaan itu datang banjir lahar.Saat itu, aliran banjir lahar makin deras yang mengakibatkan sembilan truk yang berada di aliran Sungai Bebeng tidak bisa diselamatkan. Sejumlah truk yang berada di aliran Sungai Bebeng tersebut ada yang sedang antre menunggu menaikkan material galian C berupa pasir. Namun, ada juga yang tengah diisi muatan.Akibat tertimbun material banjir lahar, truk mengalami kerusakan. Ada yang kaca depan pecah, bahkan ada juga truk yang tertimbun seluruh bodi.Ia mengatakan bahwa para penambang mendengar suara gemuruh, kemudian truk berjalan untuk turun. Namun, banjir lahar datang begitu cepat.Kepala Pelaksana BPBD Kabupaten Magelang Sujadi mengatakan bahwa sembilan truk mengalami kerusakan parah karena terkubur. Rencananya, besok akan dilakukan evakuasi dengan alat berat. "Besok akan dilakukan evakuasi dengan menggunakan alat berat karena truk tertimbun," katanya.
