IPW Kritik Pernyataan Kapolri dalam Kasus Ahok

Sidang terhadap Ahok sang penista Islam, belum juga dilakukan, tetapi pernyataan-pernyataan janggal kembali dikeluarkan oleh Kapolri Jendral Tito. Menanggapi hal ini, Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) menyayangkan beberapa pernyataan Kapolri Jendral Tito Karnavian terkait kasus dugaan penistaan agama oleh Gubernur DKI Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok).

Ketua Presidium IPW Neta S Pane mengatakan seharusnya dalam menjelaskan sebuah kasus, penyidik dan pejabat Polri harus independen dan proporsional serta tidak masuk ke dalam pokok perkara agar tidak dituding memihak pihak tertentu.

"IPW menyayangkan dalam beberapa kali penjelasan Kapolri cenderung sudah masuk ke dalam pokok perkara, akibatnya Kapolri bisa dituding telah berusaha menggiring opini publik," katanya kepada Republika.co.id, Senin (7/11).

Seperti diberitakan sebelumnya, beberapa waktu lalu Kapolri mengeluarkan pernyataan bahwa Ahok tidak bermaksud menistakan agama atau menghina ulama dalam pernyataannya di Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta.

"Dalam bahasanya itu, jangan percaya kepada orang, bahasanya, bapak-bapak, ibu-ibu punya batin sendiri tidak pilih saya. Dibohongi pakai..... Kata 'pakai' ini penting sekali. Tapi dalam konteks itu tidak ada maksud terlapor mengatakan Al Maidah itu bohong," kata Tito.

Kata 'pakai' inilah yang dihilangkan dalam video di media sosial. "Dibohongi Al Maidah 51 dan dibohongi pakai itu berbeda artinya," kata Tito.

Meski begitu dia menegaskan bahwa pernyataan tersebut bukan untuk membela atau melindungi Ahok. Untuk itu, nantinya Kepolisian akan meminta bantuan ahli bahasa untuk membuktikan apakah Ahok menistakan agama atau tidak.
