Presiden Palestina Mahmoud Abbas Temui Erdogan

Dalam Kunjungan diplomatik selama 3 hari di Turki, yang akan membahas berbagai macam persoalan Palestina, terutama masalah kemerdekaan Palestina, Presiden Palestina Mahmoud Abbas akan melakukan serangkaian pertemuan dengan para pejabat di Turki, diantaranya juga dengan Presidan Turki Erdogan. Abbas tiba di Ibu Kota Turki, Ankara, pada Senin (24/10) setelah dijadwalkan untuk mengadakan pembicaraan dengan para pejabat Turki senior.

Seperti dilansir dari Middle East Monitor, selama kunjungan diplomatik tiga hari, Abbas juga akan bertemu dengan Perdana Menteri Turki Binali Yildirim dan pembicara parlemen Turki Ismail Kahraman.

Dalam wawancara dengan stasiun radio Palestina Mawtini, Majdi Al-Khalidi, penasihat Abbas untuk urusan diplomatik dan hubungan internasional mengatakan, kedua kepala negara akan membahas serangkaian masalah internal dan eksternal Palestina, khususnya rekonsiliasi Palestina.

Al-Khalidi menambahkan, telah dimulai pembangunan "kawasan industri" Palestina-Turki di kota Jenin, bagian utara Tepi Barat. “Untuk berbagi pengalaman antara kedua negara dan meningkatkan kondisi ekonomi Palestina."

Selain diskusi politik, Abbas juga dijadwalkan untuk meletakkan karangan bunga di makam pendiri Republik Turki, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, dan mengunjungi gedung parlemen yang dibom saat kudeta militer 15 Juli lalu.
